During the recent Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Studio Toogood showcased its provocative exhibition “Natura Morta". Designed to celebrate the darker side of the natural world, guests were invited to a private apartment gallery to experience a series of midnight dinners prepared by Arabeschi di Latte alongside naughty erotic drawings from the archive of Piero Fornasetti.

At the Natura Morta project, Faye Toogood launched her second collection: Assemblage 2. Made using leather, sand-cast aluminum, melted pewter, bronze, wax and resin this collection has proved to be more unyielding, elemental and visceral than Assemblage 1. Assemblage 3 will be launched in September.

Using predominantly bold optical illusions and sci-fi projections, Studio Toogood was asked to style Tom Dixon’s latest collection into a montage of space discovery, disco and science lab optics for this year’s theme of Extremism. The imagery used in the latest catalogue also features in his new book.

Recreational furniture. For this year’s series of stop motion animations, Studio Toogood brought Tom Dixon’s furniture to life by referencing 90’s street culture. Coat stands come to life as hoodies, chairs speed around like youthful lovers and tables fearlessly take to the skate ramp.

Earlier this year Faye Toogood was asked to style Alexander McQueen’s S/S 2011 accessories collection. The first collection designed by the brand's new creative director, Sarah Burton saw skull embellished bags and gold leaf shoes nestled amongst vivid butterflies, wild mushrooms and beds of corn.

This year Studio Toogood and Faye have proudly graced the covers and feature pages of some of our favourite magazines including Azure, W magazine, Casamica and Rum.
